Hisar-e-Firoza, a name given by emperor Firoz Shah Tughlaq, is the flagship town of Haryana. To be developed as a satellite counter magnet city on the lines of Gwalior, Bareilly, Patiala, Kota, Ambala, Kanpur and Dehradun and now declared as a municipal Corporation, numerous infrastructure development projects are being undertaken by Govt. of India & Haryana to ease the pressure of population on NCR. Out of these 8 cities, Hisar, being nearest to Delhi, is poised to grow manifold.
